About Morrie's Subaru
The organization that I work for is Morries Subaru. It is owned by the Morrie's Automotive group. If you feel like the Morries Subaru logo looks familiar, and you’re a fan of rallying, you have no doubt seen it.
Morrie's Automotive Group is family owned with corporate offices in Minnetonka, MN. Morrie's is made up of 22 independent businesses totaling about 650 employees. Morrie's ranks among the top both within Minnesota and nationally among it's peers.
Yes! There is a Morrie. Morrie began in the business as a technician and service manager back in the 50's in a small import service shop in downtown Wayzata, MN. Starting with a Saab franchise, the building that I currently work out of grew to hold the Saab, Subaru, Mazda and Alfa Romeo brands. Morrie continued to acquire other franchises as the years progressed and currently offers 16 different brands. Morrie continues to contribute outside of the dealerships by serving on the Dunwoody Technical Institute Board of Directors and Twin West Chamber of Commerce on the local level, and on the national level he has served on the National Dealer Councils for Saab, Subaru and Mazda and is a current board member of AIADA- the national trade organization in Washington representing import dealers.
Morrie's Subaru has been there through it all, adorning numerous rally cars ranging from the Subaru USA factory team to the bright yellow Impreza of CPD Racing. We receive lots of support from staff members in all areas of the sales and service departments at the dealership. Many of them have attended, worked and competed in local and national rally events.
In a business not known for stability, we are all rather proud of the fact that a lot of us have been with the dealership for over 10 years, and many people choose to make it the last place they will ever work. Because of that commitment, it should be the first place you think of if you are in the market for a new or pre-owned Subaru.
