We rode shotgun for a few laps in the new, more powerful 2022 Subaru BRZ. From the passenger seat, it’s still a charmer.
Whether you love Subaru’s cars or not, you have to love Subaru. Sure, they’re funkily styled and typically not the best on gas, but there’s real joy and love in Subaru’s cars, put there by the people who make them—people who are clearly enthusiasts. How else could Subaru justify coming out with an all-new, manual-transmission-equipped, rear-drive sports coupe like the 2022 Subaru BRZ, especially in the third decade of the 21st century? I just had my first ride in the new BRZ at The Thermal Club in Palm Springs, California, and from the right seat, things are looking good.
