Subaru loves a good special edition. Since 1992, there have been well over 100 different versions of Impreza WRX made alone.
The brand used myriad titles to augment its turbocharged all-paw hero throughout the years. In its home market, titles like WRX STI Type RA (Rally Altered) and WRX STI Spec C were used to signify these limited-production and often high-performance versions.
Locally, Subaru Australia caught the bug too. Many of the special editions that arrived on our shores were created just for us, whereas others used the brand’s one-off and limited-time options – like paint colours – to create something new.
