Subaru is celebrating 30 years of WRX with a new special edition model, the Todoroki, which is roaring into New Zealand in November. The Japanese kanji symbol for ‘Todoroki’ means ‘roar’ but also translates to ‘well-known’ or ‘famous’ which all adds to the model’s x-factor. The bZ4X/Solterra won’t be a one-and-done electric affair as Toyota and Subaru are working on another jointly developed model without a combustion engine. Bi-drive Recreational All-Terrain Transporter! Better known as the BRAT, this little bar-based pickup arrived in the late 1970s as pretty much the funkiest thing Subaru built. The Subaru Crosstrek has overtaken the Forester as the brand’s best-selling model in the US thanks to strong sales over the past few months.
