Toyota is finally building a turbocharged GR86, but it’s not following the Subaru-blazed path of blending forced induction with a flat-four. The company is building a one-off GR86 that’ll use the turbocharged three-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive powertrain from its rally-inspired hot hatch, the GR Corolla. Chattanooga driver Michael Hooper won Saturday’s Tennessee Rally USA test event for a proposed World Rally Championship round. Hooper was one of four finishers for the shortened event, with his Lexus taking victory from Corey McKenzie’s Nissan Sentra.
